• Supervised Access Workers -  Fort Frances  - Casual Positions
The Supervised Access Worker works with the Supervised Access Program to maintain a safe and non-threatening, child-focused, neutral environment for non-custodial parents or other family members to visit with or exchange their children.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and monitor all interactions between children and non-custodial parties
  • Provide a safe and comfortable environement for children and visiting parties
  • Maintain factual observation records of visits and exchanges as set out by the agency's policies and procedures, and in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of the Attorney General
Expectations:
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a team while developing and maintaining positive working relationships with co-workers
  • Exercise discretion and respect the rights of clients
  • Ability to interact effectively and develop professional relationships with clients
  • Flexibility is required to meet operational needs. Hours of work include evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
  • Diploma in human services or experience within a related field preferred. Training will be provided.
Salary:  $21.32 - 23.61 as per Collective Agreement

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
32 Hours per Week


The Community Support Centre-Northwest is a multi-service agency providing a variety of programs including adult developmental services, fee-for service specialized respite and an annual Christmas Cheer community program within the Dryden and surrounding area. Supervised Access services are provided within the Kenora and Rainy River districts with office locations in Dryden, Kenora and Fort Frances.

Position Summary
The Executive Director provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the Community Support Centre-Northwest. Acting as the key liaison between the Board of Directors, staff, service users, partners and funders, the Executive Director is responsible for the agency’s day-to-day management, operational excellence and sustainability.
 
Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Governance
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction consistent with the Board of Directors’ vision, mission and strategic plan.
  • Advise and inform the Board of Directors on on-going priorities, emerging issues and organizational performance.
  • Lead the development, review and implementation of policies, procedures and job descriptions.
  • Identify and evaluate the risks of people, property, finances and the image of the organization and implements measures to control or mitigate risks.
Finance
  • Preparation and development of annual budget submissions
  • Administer the funds of the Centre in accordance with the approved budgets.
  • Approve expenditures within the authority delegated by the Board of Directors.
  • Oversee all financial operations

Organizational Operations

  • Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff.
  • Maintains positive labour relations by ensuring compliance with the Collective Agreement.
  • Leads the negotiation team for collective bargaining.
  • Liaises with funding ministries
  • Establishes positive working relationships with community groups, donors, funders and other organizations to achieve the goals of the Centre.
  • Fosters a supportive, safe and respectful workplace.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Post-secondary education within a related field
  • Experience working with a Board of Directors
  • Three or more years in a senior management role within the non-profit sector
  • High level strategic thinking and planning
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and lead employees
 REQUIREMENTS
  • Provision of a clear, current Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening.
SALARY:  $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
